Tucuman and Santiago del Estero

Passing through Tucuman and Santiago it's a memory test, lot's of relatives, that I didn't see since many (many) years and theirs sons and daughters (that I never met) hugged and kissed me while we eating tons of typical foods. Dinner with the Mitre and lunch with the Werenitzky (or viceversa) is the standard.......there are so many new kids that I was lost, but Cristina Werenitzky promised she'll help me to identify names and positions in the family tree, now I have to find a volunteer in the Mitre side ....I'll work on that ...........

I believe I've recovered in this days all the weight lost in the trip....or more....

Both Santiago and Tucuman are vibrant cities. Tucuman was far from what I remembered, beautiful buildings and a sophisticated down town are mixed with the historical places like the house where the independence of Argentina was declared in 1816.

 Santiago looked quiet when I got to down town at 5 PM, I was surprise ; to my surprise, the rhythm start increasing late at night (7 PM) and my cousins informed me that the reason of that sudden change was primarily the “siesta” (nap) .......and people (plus business) will then remain open and active until 10 PM !!!!.

 Santiago is famous for the quality of their musicians and entering the city I confirmed that the passion for the Chacarera, a local and typical dance played with drums, is still very much alive......

 With my belly full and happy to meet my family I'm leaving today to visit Campana on Sunday......I hope to see there some of my friends. I will add some pics and comments later, this days has been full of social activity and I staid late eating and talking.....
