The trip.......
The trip is over........after more than 18000 Km..... 46 days.... 670 liters of gasoline...and 13 countries; the bike and me will leave Argentina back to Canada today.
I never felt at risk or afraid, the main challenge I found was myself. Battling my own fears was the most difficult part of the trip....fear that most of the times was rooted in my ignorance or prejudices; I'm glad they didn't hold me back.
I want to thank to all the people that made my trip possible....
…..my wife, Adriana, who put up with me for a year of planing and 46 days of travel, without her, I could not have done this trip......
…....Juan, my friend and mentor, on top of all the specific information he gave me, his positive approach to life helped me to fight my fears (also thanks for the ride with Magdalena when I left)...
...my kids, parents and sister...I know they were all concern but supported me without restrictions
...my support team...Maria and Facundo , ready on the phone in case of a problem ….
...my friends that encouraged and cheered me when I had problems on the road (Jorge...Oscar and many others)
….the new friends I found on the road, that made me feel at home all the way from Canada to Argentina, Frank, Luis, Fernando, Chamuco, Jesus, Carlos, Saul, Christian, Luis and many others that showed me that, the big majority of people out there is nice and friendly.....
...all the people that shared the trip with me on the net and made me feel that I was not alone...
This is my last posting and I will now focus my efforts in the completion of the fundraise, I will also complete some of the information about the trip that can be useful for other riders in the future.
I enjoyed this experience all along and I hope you too.
Cheers
Jorge
