The fundraise

I’m back to “normal” and now focus in completing the fund raise.

Unicef Gala will be on October 17th and Unicef will auction the painting from Nicasio (that I brought from Argentina) together with one picture book. This will add to the money collected so far, and hopefully leave me closer to the goal.

The book is pretty much done but takes more time than you can imagine selecting 80 pics from about 3700 that I got and trying to get a consistent story out of it.

When you start adding comments you realize that some pics are missing or you have to change the ones you have for different ones.

I like the way is coming together and I hope to sell enough of them to reach my target.

I’ll post pics of the book as soon as it’s finished and have some directions to buy it in case somebody is interested, of course all money will be donated to Unicef for the fund raise about Guatemala.

In case you want to know more about the situation, please check this article in The Economist that paints the reality about the kids out there : Malnutrition in Guatemala (A national shame)
