I can't leave Jujuy, this is like Guadalajara !!!!!
I'm still in Jujuy....I have a cousin leaving here and ….just by chance....it was the baptism of his son (called Bautista), therefore all his brothers (my other cousins) plus my aunt, were here in Jujuy (I saw them last time 17 years ago) .
I have ate and enjoy my time with them while waiting for Oscar Camara, a friend whose going to ride with me today (we'll go to Humauaca and Tilcara). Oscar together with Horacio (Bergero) were my GT's buddies as the three of us leave together for almost two years in Campana!!!!
In the mid time, yesterday, I visited Purmamarca. With the bike unloaded I was able to get into the hills and appreciate the unbelievable colors of the place, please do not miss the pics !!!!!
The area where Purmamarca is located is called “Quebrada de Humauaca” , and similar to Morelia in Mexico , is considered “Patrimonio de la Humaidad” which I really don't know how to translate properly (I do not want to invent another word.......) but are areas protected as they hold value for the humankind because it's beauty. They built there beautiful hotels and hostels at the feet of this colorful hills where you can stay and eat really well......
My plan is to leave tomorrow to Tucuman to visit other relatives and then Santiago del Estero, the place where I was born, and has the big majority of my relatives...they are waiting for me. After that Campana, Buenos Aires and Necochea (to see my parents and sister). I will post some other things about Argentina and finally I will be sending the bike to Canada next week …....
My friend Oscar and my cousin commented to me that there were no pics about Chile, I just realized yesterday that the pics were not published, I posted them but for some reason I did not publish this part of the site. Do not miss them and enjoy the beauty of Humauaca as is one of the most beautiful areas of Argentina.....
Cheers
jorge
